The total receipts for the month ended October 31 were £2057 12s lid, showing a decrease for the past month of £329 17s Id. The decline in revenue was ehietly in the amount of customs' duties collected, being for November £ 1494 2s IDd, against £2200 14s 5d for tho previous month. The gold export duty, on the other hand, shows a very satisfactory increase over October, during which month the duty reached but .£137 4s Sd, the small amount being attiibutable to the exceptionally dry weather experienced in the month of September, For September the gold duty amounted to £7BO 7s 7d, so that November exhibits a satisfactory increase over month also of £45 us Gd.
