The New Zealand Gazette, pf March 25th, publishes the fol!6wing'refutations foi the banks as abotfe newly established at Christ, church, jj<yttejton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akraou Hokitikn, .Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1.1 Interest at he" rati of 4 per cent; pe* annum is given on £2OO aiid under; at the rate: of 8 per cent, per annum on turns under; A'soo i in the same proportion fo< any shorter time on pyery complete £I deposited, provided that no intereo 4 Rowed on nVorc thftn iflOO. 2. Depositors in-the Post Office Saving a Banks Jiave duvet Government Security for the prompt repay'meat of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposit's at any other of such Banks, arid can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which it most con- 1 venient to him. , . i,. ,t. ~ 4. The r strictest secresy is observed witl respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their depossits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on behalf qf minors. Depositors over seven years of age are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7.
