The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th, publishes the following regulations foi thi aanks as above newly established at Christ jhureh, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akraoi Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport ind Charleston. 1. Interest at he rate of 4 per cent, pel annum is given on jE2OO and under ; at thi rate of 3 per cent, per annum on eunn under £SOO ; and in the same proportion foi any shorter time on every complete £\ de posited, provided that no intere* tKowci on more than .£SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post Ottce Savingi Banks have duict Government Security fo the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Offio Banks can continue his deposits at any othe of such Banks, and can withdraw his monej Rt that Post Office Bank which is most con venient to him. 4. The strictest secresy is observed witl respect to the names of depositors in Pos ()ffice Banks, and the amounts of their de possits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on be half of minors. Depositors over seven year of age are treated as persons of full age, bu minors under seven years of age cannot with draw their deposits until they have reache the age of seven. 7.
