Forplaces within the colony, the Australiai Colonies, and the United Kingdom, v'a Sue and Southampton, are chargeable w»"ih a rat' of one penny. Newspapers for the United Kingdom, vli Panama or Suez, one penny; and Marseilles threepence each. . In consequence of newspapers being fr« quently posted in packages of more than on number, the same are detained at the Chie. Post-office, and attention is called to the foi lowing postal regulation:—. " Newspapers for transmission within thi colony shall be posted in single numbers, s< put up that the date of publication may bt readily seen. Packages of newspapers consist ing of more than one number shall be treatec as bookpackages.
