The p.s. Lyttleton remained in port until noon on Thursday, owing to a fcavy fresh in the river, when she sailed for Greymouth. She was expected to arrive in Westport early this morning, leaving the same tide for Nelson.
The s.s. Kennedy arrived from Nelson on Wednesday last, but did not open her hatches until Thursday morning. She discharged the Westport portion of her cargo, and sailed the same tide for Greymouth and Hokitika, arriving at the first-named port shortly before midnight. She is announced to leave Westport for Nelson to-night. The s.s. Murray arrived at Greymouth from Hokitika on Thursday, and is undergoing some repairs at that port. We are unaware of what extent her injuries are, but they cannot be in anyway serious, or it woulfl have boon found necessary to lay the steamer up in Hokitika. After much delay, the s.s. Wallabi has finally completed her repairs, and was to have left Wellington to-day for Wanganui.
The s.s. Storm Bird is said to have been chartered by Messrs Seaton and Davidson to run with cattle from Wanganui to Auckland. A private telegram states that the s.s. Wnipara would leave Hokitika this morning for .Brighton and Westport.
The schooner Three Friends arrived at Charleston on Tuesday last, discharged cargo, and sailed on Wednesday about midnight for Westport, arriving here at noon on Thursday. She again loaded with cargo for Charleston yesterday, and was to leave for that port early this morning.
