The steamer Murray left Nelson on Saturday, at 9 a.m., and arrived at Westport, via Motueka on Sunday night. She sailed at noon yesterday for Hokitika and Greymouth. The steamer Lyttelton arrived at Westport on Sunday morning from Hokitika; discharged timber for Messrs Bull and Bond, and left for Greymouth last night. She is announced to sail iVoin Westport for Nelson on Wednesday, calling at Karamea, should sufficient inducement offer.

The p.s. Charles Edward arrived at Hokitika from Westport on Saturday evening, and was to leuve Greymouth last night for this port. She is announced to sail for Nelson this morning at eleven. The schooner Mavis left Lyttelton on the Gist ult., and arrived in the roadstead l.u the Oth instant, and crossed the bar on the 10th. bhe brings a cargo of produce consigned to Mr Munro.

The schooners Three Friends and Woodquest sailed from Charleston on Friday, and crossed the Buller bar on Saturday. The Three Friends has filled with cargo, and was expected to sail for Charleston last night. The schooner Mary will complete discharging to-day, and take her departure, weather permitting, for Melbourne on Thursday.

11.M.5. Galatea, Clio, and Rosario sailed from "Wellington on Saturday week. The Galatea proceed to Sydney for an overhaul—the Rosario to the South Sea Islauds. Dr Fcatherston and Mr Bell are endeavoring to induce the (Government to constitute New Zealand a disi -.ot Commodor station, but Mr Childers's illness interfered with tho negotiations.

The barque Karnak, with a cargo of bonedust, from Melbourne, was totally consumed by fire in Colombo Koadstead two days after hor arrival. Her horses had been previously lauded safely. Her cargo had heated on the voyage.

The barque Messina, from Newcastle to Adelaide, was wrecked on Flinders Island on Saturday, 20th inst. The captain and crew obtained a sealer's boat and reached Tamar Heads.

A ship with German emigrants has arrived at Hobavt Town. The Governor, the Premier, and others went on board to welcome the immigrants, and at a champagne luncheon international toasts were drunk. The master of tho schooner Canterbury reports an unknown rock about three miles outside of Chetwode Island. The Canterbury was on it seven hours, and got back into Pelorua Souud much damaged.

In Yokohama harbor, on the 13th of June, there were eighteen merchant steamers, the lowest tonnage being 100, and the largest 2500 tons; and sixty-two sailing vessels, the lowest tonnage being 171, and the largest 1019 tons.
