Per St Kilda, for Greymouth, short landed at Westport—26 head cattle, 180 sheep, 150 pies. Shipped at Westport—7 horses, 8 Cutves, iJiek ana Beaton. Hie schooner Io completed discharging cargo, yesterday, and is now ballasting prior to leaving for Melbourne. \ She will probably sail to-day. The schooner Crest of the Wave, Captain Bell, left Port Chalmers on the 14th August, cleared the Heads at 10 a.m., and arrived off Oamaru on the 15th. Stood ofT and on until the 18th, when she anchored in the Bay; filled with balance of cargo, and sailed on the 20th for Westport. Passed Banks Peninsula on the 21st, and Cape Campbell on the 22nd. On the 24th put into Totaranui Bay, and on the 26th got under weigh, passing Cape Farewell on the 27th. Anchored off Westport on the morning of the 29th, and was towed across the bar the same evening by the s.s. Kennedy.
The schooner Jane Elkin left Hokitika on Sunday, the 28th ult., and arrived at Westport on the 30th. She is laden with timber, consigned to Messrs Bull and Bond. After discharging, she will take in coal at Greymouth, from thence returning to Hokitika. The schooner Pearl left Lyttelton on Thursday, the 25th ult., at 6 a.m.; roundod Cape Campbell at 3 a.m. on Friday, with a heavy gale from the South West; at 8 p.m. rounded Stevens Island with light north-east wind. On Saturday, the 27th, tacked off Cape Fare■well with a strong westerly wind blowing. Hounded Bocks Point at midnight on the 28th. On the 29th experienced strong east wind, which veered round to south-west; at 8 p.m., tacked off Totaranui, and arrived at Westport at noon on the 30th. Her cargo, consisting of produce, is being landed in firstclass condition. She is consigned to Messrs J. Powell and Co., and will sail for Havelock about Saturday. The cutter Satellite left West Wanganui on Monday, at 1 p.m., and arrived at Westport at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. She brings a cargo of coal for Messrs Freeth and Greig. The p.s. Charles Edward, with a cargo of «attle, left Wanganui on Tuesday night for Westport, and will probably cross the bar this morning.
