POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK
The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th, publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Chruj church, Lyttelton, Eaiapoi, Timaru, Akraoi Hokitika, Grey mouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at he rate of 4 per cent, m annum is given on .£2OO and undej.-; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on mm, under .£500; and in the same proportion foj any shorter time on every compKete £l deposited, provided that no interest be allowed on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post Office Savinw Banks have direct Government faecurity fa I the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Olee Banks can continue his deposits at any othet of such Banks, and can withdraw his mone? at that Post Office Bank vbich is most convenient to him. • 4. The strictest secresy is observed wiU respect to the names of depositors in Posi Office Banks, and the amounts of their depossits. , , 6 ; Mon - ey ma y be deposited by or on behalt or minors. Depositors over seven yean of age are treated as persons of full age, bat minors under seven years of age cannot with, draw their deposits until thoy have reached the age of seven. ■ 7.
