POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK

The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th publishes the following regulations foi the' banks as above newly established at Christ church Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akraoa Hokitika Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. * ■ 1. Interest at he rate of 4 per cent, dm annum is given on £2OO and under ; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on lums under £SOO ; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every complete £1 deposited, provided that no interest be allowed on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post Office Saving« Banks have direct Government Seeuritv for the prompt repayment of their money 1 3 A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any other of such Banks and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most convement to him. 4.
