(From Grey Hiver Argus.) The following are the few additional items of news brought by the s.s. Ouieo which left Melbourne April 16:— Bluff, April 22. The mail news is not calculated to improve the import markets generally Flour is dull at £ll 10s ; wheat scarce at 4s lOd to 5s Id ; maize wanted at 4s 3d; oats, per Gothenburg, at 3s 3d to 3 5d ; cornsacks, 10 6d, in bond ; New Zealand malt, 2s to 2s lOd. Rain general all over the Colony. The Volunteer encampment at You Yangs was largely attended, notwithstanding the unpropitious weather. There was no opposition to the Ministers' re-election. Mr Macpherson made a satisfactory explanation, and gave reasons for joining the M'Culloch Ministry. Charles Matthews is drawing crowded houses. Power continues at large. A man named Lloyd, a supposed confederate, has been arrested. The Hewitt and Harris match is fixed for the 21st. Arrived Anna, from Auckland, after a rough passage. Sydney, April 15. New Treasury Bills have realised over £99. The Sydney Insurance Co.'s dividend is ten per cent. A large meeting of the unemployed has been held. The wool prices are unaltered.
Arrived Galilee, trom Auckland. Sailed—From Newcastle, Janet Douglas for Auckland. New gold discoveries have been made at Forbes. Queensland, April 15. The prisoners confined in the St. Helena Gaol, Brisbane, attempted an escape. The Warders resisted, and fired, when a prisoner named Wild, a Scotchman, was shot through the wrist. The Government propose voting £3OOO for the benefit of the sufferers by recent floods. Adelaide, April 15. Wheat, 5s 3d; Bran, Is 3d; flour dull. The elections are still progressing. Bain general over the colony. Digging opperations are extending. The Governor is in Tasmania,
