PROSPECTING AREA GRANTED. A prospecting area has been applied for by, andgrantedto,Robert Bingham, Joseph Jones, John M'Lachin, and John Linkhorn, on a terrace on the left hand side of the creek running into the Orawaiti, between German and Caledonian Creeks. The following particulars have been posted outside the Warden's office:— "The terrace is on tho left hand side of the creek running into the Orawaiti, and formed by the junction of German and Caledonian Creeks. "Pour men's ground has been granted as a prospecting area, under sub-section 2, section 7 of the Goldfields Regulations. " The gold is near the surface of the hill, and the working will be tunnelling.

".The prospectors will take up a prospecting claim as soon as they have ascertained more particularly the yield and direction of the gold."
