A black man proceeding along one of the fashionable streets at the West end was saluted with the sound of " How d'ye do, snow-ball ?" He turned round in anger, but on perceiving the parrot he said, "Ah, ha, you rogue. You grow bery rich now! have a fine golden house of your own, and insult poor man; but I know your fader when he lived in de bushmind dat, and keep civil tongue."
