The eteamer Kennedy sailed for Nelson yesterday. She was advertised to proceed also to Dunedin, but we believe that the Chnrles Edward will be despatched hither, ;and that she is likely to be regularly engaged in tho Dunedin and West Coast trade. The schooner Jane Elkin, with a second cargo of sawn timber consigned to Messrs Bull and Bond, arrived on Thursday from Hokitika, which promises to become the future source of our local timber supplies.
