The s.s. Murray is expected to proceed direct from Kelson to Hokitika on her next trip, calling hero coining back. The cargo of the ketch Constant has been in store here since she was stranded, and detained there in consequence of some dispute about general average. Some arrangement his however, teea made, and it will be shipped lor Charleston by the fir3t opportunity. The briganfcine Prospcriiy is expected here daily from Melbourne. The Northern Light is understood to be undergoing repairs. The following vessels were lost during the late gules on the coast of New South Wales : Brig Burnett, with 7 hands; schooner Jessie, •with 3 hands ; schooner Nancy, with G men ; schooner Oriti, with 6 men and captain's wife; Don Juan, schooner, with G of a crew; schooner Secret, 1 man drowned; the schooner Britannia, crew saved ; and the Eglinton, with G hands. Beside:;, the barque Planter, schooner Fanny, and oilier vessels are missing. The total number of persons drowned is said to number 15.
