John Penn arrived in Nelson on Sunday afternoon from Manukau, via Wanganui. She may be expected at this port to-day. The Chafles Edward may be expected from Nelson to-day. She arrived at that port on Sundiiy from the Wairoa. The repairs of the steamer Yarra are bei::g proceeded with, and she is expected to be at work again in three weeks. The schooner Streamlet, about which there Was some anxiety, has arrived at iiokitika. More stringent regulations with regard to coasting vessels arc about to be enforced consequent on the late smuggling transactions at Wellington. A London ship is likely to be prosecuted for .complicity.
