The Government has authorised Captain Stack to raise 100 men for service in the North Island. These men, as stated yesterday, have arrived by the Alhambra. It is also stated that Commodore Lambert has received letters from Australia stating that General Sir Trevor Chute may be expected daily to arrive from Australia, and that Lord Behnore is willing to send troops from Sydney.
