SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.
WESTPOET. HIGH WATEH. This Day ... 5.20 a.m., 5.45 p.m. The steamer Murray did not leave port on Monday evening, as intended. Indeed, after the weather that has been experienced, there would bo little chance of her being able to enter the ports of the southward. During the Murray's rather lengthened stay at Wellington, slie received extensive alterations and repairs. Besides an overhaul of her hull, she received new decks, some new machinery, a new cabin, and was otherwise metamorphosed and improved. Mr Kirby has returned with her as agent. No telegram has been received as to the departure of the Kennedy or the Charles Edward from Grcymouth for Hokitika. Hokitika bar is, no doubt, again in an unfavorable state for navigation, and it is possible that one or both of the vessels may return here without proceeding to their destination.
