The John Penn left Greymouth yesterday morning at half-past eight. She landed some passengers at Charleston, arrived off the bar at four o'clock, and came in with the evening ■tide. The Charles Edward arrived from Greymonth yesterday morning, and, after a short stay in pert, left for Nelson. The Kennedy may be expected to arrive in port this morning. The Wallabi; from Wanganui, is also due. The p.s. Sturt has been nearly destroyed at sea by fire, owing to spontaneous combustion of oilskin wrappers on board. The fine new screw-steamer Rob Roy, belonging to Messrs Robinson and Lilly, the late well-known owners of the steamer Titania, has arrived at Dunedin from Melbourne. She is to be employed in the coasting trade. The mails have been recovered from the wreck of the City of Launceston, in Port Philip. They were three years submerged, but are very slightly injured.
