Kenned}' left on Saturday last at S p.m., and got to Motueka at 10. Left Motuelca about 12 noon on Sunday, and on reaching the spit end hud to run back, and brought up at Separation Point; about 8 p.m. Left again at 6 next morning, and encountered a strong breeze from the S.W. on reaching the San Ispit, and brought up there. Left there on Monday night at 8 p.m., and met with a heavy swell on the way down. Reached the Duller at 8 a.m. yesterday, and eame up to the wharf at 11 o'clock. She left again for the south last night. The barque Nightingale, M'Phaidcn, master, left Melbourne on the 18th ult., clearing the Heads at 4 p.m. During that night she caiight a strong - breeze from the westward which lasted twenty-four hours, and backed to the northward. It continued at (his point for four or five days with but little intermission, and then veered round to the south-east, and from that to the south. It kept, in this quarter for two days, and died completely away to a dead calm that continued for no less than six days, but bringing' the ship by -current to within 60 miles of the Steeples. On Thursday the land was made between Charleston and the Steeples, and the barque then stood in for the Duller roadstead, and anchored the same night. Since that time the vessel has been knocking' about off and on, waiting a tow in, with what success our readers know. She brings five cabin passengers. The Murray, s.s., arrived at the wharf last night at 11 o'clock. She left Hokitilfa on Saturday last, and Greymonth yesterday at 12 o'clock, She will sail for Nelson this day.
