The ps. Chivvies Edward left Nelson on Thursday at midnight, and arrived off the bar at four p.m. on the following day, experienced light variable ivinds and fine weather during the voyage, passing the s.s. John Pennon the 19th at 5 a.m. oil' Rock's Point. The s.s. Kennedy left the Buller at 5.30 p.m. on Monday evening fur southern ports, arrived at Pox's at 8.30 p.m. the same evening, laid there until 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning, landed about 15 tons cargo and 3 pasengers, and then went on to llokitika, arriving there at 3 p.m., after a quick passage of 6 hours; landed about 30 tons cargo and G passengers. Took in 30 tons cargo for the Buller, and'left again at 7 a.m. on the 18tli, arriving at Grcv at 9 a.m., landed about 12 tons cargo and 10 passengers, took in some cargo and 44 tons coal, and left again at S p.m. last, evening. Came up the Coast under easy steam, and arrived in the roadstead at 3 a.m. on Friday morning. Crossed the Bar at 7 a.m., and landed 8 passengers. Left again for Kelson at 7 p.m. The barque Alma, from Melbourne, was towed into llokitika on Thursday morning. The John Bullock from Newcastle arrived in the roadstead the same afternoon.
