STEAM BOAT MANAGEMENT.

to the' Editor of the Westport Times and Charleston Argus. Sir, —Knowing that your paper is always open to redress public grievance, we venture to address you respecting the reckless manner in which the captain of the Charles Edward capsized our skiff lying at the beach to-day whilst taking in cargo for the South Spit. She had a quarter warp fast to the shore, and without the slightest warning (until too late) she went full speed astern and capsized the boat, precipitating tbe contents into the water. With all due respect I would ask is there no protection whatever against such management? Apologising for trespassing on your space, We are, Sir, &c, Phillips and Ceaddock, Watermen. Westport, June 15,1868.
