Monday, June 1. (Before C. Broad, Esq., R.M.) John King was fined 20s. for being drunk and disorderly. CITIL CASES. M'Parland v. Jf'jKoy.—Claim, £ll 95., balance of account. Judgment for plaintiff by default. Shanahan v. Casey. —No appearance. Malinan v. Bohan. —Claim, £1 17s. Gd., balance of an account for wages. Judgment for plaintiff by default. Shaw v. J?otham. —Claim, £ll, balance of an account of £2O for veterinary attendance on defendant's cows. Mr O'Neill, on bebalf of the defendant, filed a set-off of £l2 for six weeks board. Half of this was
allowed by his Worship, who gave judgment for £5 and costs. Greve v. Salter.— Claim, 15s. for repairing a watch. Judgment for plaintiff. Oascoigne v. WKenty. —Claim, £l6 155., balance of an account for flour. An allowance cf £1 4s. was made for short delivery and judgment given for the remainder. Trustee* of RendersorCß Estate v. J. <Somerville.-~ Claim, £7 7s. 5d., balance of account. Judgment for plaintiffs. Same v. Beid.—Chim, £9 4s. 7d., being admitted, judgment was given, but execution stayed for 14 days. Shepherd and Co. v. Smith. —No appearance. APPLICATIONS POK LICENSES. John M'Ewen, for Junction Hotel, Darkie's Terrace Eoad. Mr O'Neill appeared on behalf of the Licensed Victuallers' Association. Mr Johnston, who appeared for the applicant, put in a document which purported to be a sale note of the hotel. In reply to some questions by Mr O'Neill, the applicant stated he was a carpenter, and had made a bona Jide purchase of the house from Margaret Hannah, who had now no connection with it. Application granted. M. Hewitt, renewal granted.
