The paddle-steamer Nelson on Tuesday left Hokitika, the bar very rough, at 2.30 p.m. Got to Grey same tide. Left again at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, and got off the bar at 11.30 p.m., and crossed the bar at 4 a.m. yesterday. She left again for Nelson by the afternoon's tide. The Waipara left for Southern Ports yesterday. The John Perm crossed the bar at 1.30 p.m. She left Nelson at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, and arrived of the Puller at noon yesterday." She brings 23 passengers and a general cargo of merchandise, and some live stock. The barque Helen S. Page, which a few weeks since visited this port with cattle for Captain Johnson, was wrecked on her trip up to Sydney. Crew saved and most of the tackling. She was insured for .£BOO, and belonged to her commander, Captain Evans.— Colonist.
