The screw-steamer Waipara, with a small shipment of goods from this port, was despatched to Mokihinui yesterday. The Kennedy left Nelson at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday. Experienced strong head winds all the passage down, and crossed the bar at 1.30 p.m. yesterday. She left for Greymouth and Hokitika at 3 o'clock this morning. _♦ STEERING AND SAILING RULES.
