Although line weather has prevailed, very few orders from the interior have been to hand, and difllculty experienced in getting the limited supplies required forward. A fair amount of coastwise trade has been going forward, but in other respects no life has been apparent, and the inconsiderable transactions taking place have been destitute of interest. In breadstuffs no movement has taken place, and with the exception of a small parcel of flour, purchased for shipment to another Province, no sales beyond For immediate requirements are known oF. Wheat is now quoted at Gs fid to Gs 9d. Oats fluctuate at 2s lOd to .'ls. Provisions have been dealt in, but the demand has not been heavy. Sinclaii's hams and bacon, in equal proportions, are held at 14.1(1. The market For spirit * is quiet, but prices aro firm at last quotations; to some little extent t'.e high values o£ brandies may have curtailed s Iv. In mall liquors, the transactions have also been small; ales in bulk are not selling, purchasers waiting for the first shipments of tie new brew, now daily expected. The demand for beers in glass does not show any i nproveincnt. Hemp goods continue exceedingly dull ; the sales for a considerable time have only been trifling, and-there is no probability of speedy iniprov. ment. Kerosene maintains its value- the arrival of the Mary Edsrn from Boston, having made no addition to stocks.
