The sercw-stcamer Wallaby came into port yesterday morning from Wanganui, with a uargo of cattle and sheep. She left Wanganui on Tuesday evening ; experienced strong head winds and heavy sea across the Straits, moderating off Roak's Point; from thence to the .Duller she had head winds, but not much sea ; arrived at Wcstport at 8.45 a.m. The screw-steamer Kennedy, with a general cargo on board for this port, arrived oil' the bar at .') a.m. yesrerday. She left Nelson on Tuesday at 4 p.m., and encountered a strong S.W. breeze all the way to the lhillor, which river she entered at 8 a.m. yesterday. She came into the river without her starboard screw, which the captain reports must have dropped off after they came to an anchorage otitside the bar, as lie used it in rounding the steamer up to her anchorage. The whole of the screw and the cud of the shaft had broken short off at the socket, but in a few hours after her arrival in this river, as she carried spare gear, she was fitted with another shaft and screw, and at G p.m. left for Fox's, Greymouth and llokitika. The screw-steamer Beautiful Star, with a general eargo and a few passengers, came into port from Hokitika yesterday morning. She left by the afternoon's tide for Welington and Dnnegin, with original passengers. The screw-steamer VVallaby, with part of lir original cargo and 1800 ozs of gold for the Bank of Now Zealand, left the port for Grcyinouth and llokitika by the afternoon's tide. The schooner Rambler, bound for Greymouth for coals for Spencc Uros. and Co., was towed over the bar last evening by the screw-steamer Kennedy.
