There was quite a fleet of vessels in the river yesterday, there having been no less than six entries inwards at the Custom-house, and three outward clearances up to the official hour of closing. The Albatross, which was expected to have come into port on Sunday night, went past to Hokitika, which it appeal's was her legitimate destination. The Southland, which went out to her, remained outside all night and brought in the Rifleman with the morning's tide. The Uolunteer, which arrived yesterday after a favorable passage of six days from the Manukau, has brought 25 tons of potatoes, and a large quantity of onions, turnips, and other Auckland produce in first-rate condition, •which will be sold by Mr Beauchamp at the Wharf to-morrow.

January 25—Standard, ketch, for Brighton. Sea Breeze, ketch, for Westport. January 26 —Waipara, s.s., for Westport. VESSELS TJ? PORT. Schooner —Ada. Ketch—Constant. The steamer Waipara arrived off the port on Sunday morning, and after waiting about an hour entered the bay without difficulty, there being a perfectly smooth bar. She remained a few hours discharging cargo, and then took her departure ngain for Westport. She appears to be a veiy handy useful little vessel, and if she plies here regularly will prove a great convenience, not only to merchants but ■ to travellers. The Bruce which left this port, on Saturday at 11 a.m. arrived at Hokitika at 9 p.m., discharging, passengers and cargo, and leaving at 11a.m. on yesterday with 12 passengers and -cargo for the Grey and Westport. Arrived at Greymouth at 1 p.m., coaled, and left at 3 p.m. ; reached Fox's at 6, left at 7, and arrived here at 10, after an unusually rapid passage of eleven hours. The Bruce will take part of the Rifleman's cargo down to Hokitika. Theßangitoto arrived off Hokitika just as she »wrs leaving.
