If candidates for the honor of representing Wesport were slow enough in announcing thennel es as the time draws nigh, there appears as if there will be no lack of them. First, Mr. Graham, wh:> held another meeting last night at the Adelphi Theatre, which was filled in every part t The audience listened to Mr. Graham with tolerable patience ami the usual vote was accorded to him. Mr. Graham, taking all things into consideration spoke very well, and his replies to the various questions were most happily conceived; secondly —Mr Crate, who is busily exerting himself; thirdly—Mr Thomas Goodwin, who paid a visit to the miners at the Caledonian Lead yesterday; fourthly- -Mr S. Rogers, whose requisition and reply appears in another column ; fifthly—Mr Ferris, who wo believe, was to address a meeting at Addison's Flat last evening ; sixthly— Mr J. V. Smith, to whom we alluded yesterday, and who has received an infiuentially-signed requisition, and has consented to stand; besides rumors of several other gentlemen. Masonic.—Last evening the Thistle Lodge of Westport, Scotch Constitution, was opened at the Court-house, when thirty-eight of the initiated were present. After the proceedings the party adjourned to the Empire Hotel, where an excellent banquet was spread in Mr. Hughes's best style. About thirty persons were present. Mr. Reid, the K.W.M., occupied the chair, and Mr. Payne the vice-chair. Full justice having been done to the good things provided, the usual toasts were drunk, and the meeting broke up after spending a pleasant evening.
