The Kennedy loft Hokitika on Sunday last, at 10 a.m., and arrived at the Grey at 1 pm same day. Got rid of some passengers and cargo—left at 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday, and arrived at Fox's at 5, leaving 20 passengers and five tons of cargo—left there at 7, and arrived at the Buller at 10 the same evening, bringing on 20 passengers for this port. The Kennedy loft for Nelson yesterday at noon, with eight cabin and twelve steerage passengers. The Brnoe arrived in the Buller on Tuesday night from Hokitika, and anchored outside of the Beautiful Star, off the Stanley Wharf. The Beautiful Star which came into port about mid-day yesterday, left Dunedin at 3 p.m. on Monday the 6th inst., and had fine weather till the next morning at 8, when she passed the Kaikouras. Thence to Wellington harbor which she entered next morning at 9, had little wind but a heavy head sea. Left Wellington on Thursday, with a strong gale from S.S.K., and arrived off Wanganui On Friday at daylight, crossing the bar at 9 in the morning, and discharging 70 tons of cargo. Left Wanganui on Saturday at mid-day and arrived at 11 cfl Rock's Point, when she spoke the Nelson with the Charles Edward in tow. Arrivad off the Bnller at 5 the same evening, but there being a heavy sea and strong wind, anchored outside; the cable parting about midnight, was obliged to put out to sea and hove-to under steam all nigiit. Approached the shore on Monday afterrtoon, but finding a heavy fresh running out, stood oat apian until yesterday morning, when she crossed the bar quite safdy, and brought up at Sianley Wharf.
