MASTERTON SHOW

DECREASE IN ENTRIES. Although entries for the Masterton A. and P. Association’s annual show, to be held at' Solway Showgrounds next Tuesday and Wednesday, are 717 down on last, year’s total, they show an increase on those for 1935 and for 1936. Entries this year total 2383, as compared with last year’s record figures of 3100, when the Jubilee Show was held.

Entries received in the various classes this year are as follow, the corresponding figures for last year being given in parentheses: —Horses, 306 (357); competitions, 400 (416); cattle, 177 (303); sheep, 481 (690); dogs, 480 (449); pigs, 64 (84); horticulture, 170 (435); poultry, 305 (368); totals, 2383 (3100).
