LABOUR PARTY

WOMEN’S AUXILIARY.

The President (Mrs J. Robertson) presided over a well attended monthly meeting of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Masterton Labour Party held in the Parish Hall. Mrs Coleman reported on the result of a deputation from the Auxiliary which had waited on the Mayor, Mr T. Mordan, to place before him a request to consider the erection of a Women s Rest Room in Masterton. Mrs Coleman said that the deputation had received a very favourable hearing and Mr Jordan had promised to place the matter before the next Borough Council meeting. Mr Jordan had said that he considered the main difficulty would be that of obtaining a suitable site. The secretary reported that arrangements for a garden party to - be held at the residence of Mrs Robertson on 19th February were well in hand.
