WEDDING
SANDERS—BROCKETT. Tlie marriage took place at St. Matthew's Church, Masterton, on Wednesday last of Freda Margaret, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Broekett, of Masterton, and Royston Douglas, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Sanders, of Blenheim. The Rev. E. J. Rich officiated, and Mr. Miller Hope presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore cream lace over satin, the flowing veil being held in place by a coronet of pearls and orange blossom, and her sheaf was composed of orchids and lilies.
Miss Edna Brockett, sister of the bride, as chief bridesmaid, wore floral ninon over satin, and carried a bouquet of gladioli and carnations to tone. She was assisted by Miss Nada Sanders (Blenheim), sister of the bridegroom and Miss Marie Sullivan (Auckland), cousin of the bride, also in floral ninon over satin, and carrying 'Victorian posies to tone. Little Annie Brockett (Auckland), cousin of the bride, acted as flower girl. The bridegroom was supported by his brother, Mr Noel Sanders (Wellington), as best man. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a lucky horseshoe by Miss Margaret Landon. The reception was held in the Savage Club Rooms, Perry Street, where the bride's parents received the guests. The bride's mother wore beige lace over satin, and the bridegroom's mother floral georgette. The newlywed couple left by car, the bride wearing a brown costume with accessories to tone. The festivities concluded with an enjoyable evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Brockett, Cole Street.
