AMATEUR ATHLETICS
MASTERTON CLUB. GIFT OF CUP. The donation of a cup by Mr. I. Saunders, of Wanganui, was announced at a meeting of the committee of the Masterton Amateur Athletic Club, held last night. It was decided to allocate the cup as a challenge trophy for flat and field events at the club’s evening meetings. It was also decided to give a points prize for flat events and another points prize for field events at the evening meetings. It was reported that Mr. P. Southey was the winner of the competition recently held by the club. (Other amateur athletic newls appears on page 2.)
