ST JOHN AMBULANCE
SUCCESSFUL CONCERT. BY TALENTED PUPILS. As was to be expected, the concert in the Opera House last night in aid of the funds of the St John Ambulance provided 'the large audience with a display of talent by'"clever^pupils'skilfully trained in their respective l items. The performers were pupils of Mrs Edna Patershn, L.T.C.L., who organised the concert, and Miss- Merle Dickson, A.T.C.L. (dancing items). At the conclusion of the programme, Mr J. C. Cooper, Superintendent of the St, John Ambulance, sincerely thanked Mrs Paterson, Miss Dickson and the children for the splendid entertainment provided, and for their generous action in arranging the concert in aid of the combined brigades. A large number of bouquets, etc., were then distributed to the performers.
