JADED PLAYERS. McGRATH’S VIEWPOINT. SYDNEY, Tuesday. Vivian McGrath, writing in the i ‘ Sun ’ ’ expresses the opinion that Australia should not challenge for the Davis Cup next year, on the ground that the players are jaded by a series of summers here and overseas and now need a winter at home. He and Crawford have encountered twelve successive summers and Quist ten. Crawford agreed with him that continual summer was like everything else, attractive for a while but not so good for general health.
