RECORDS BROKEN. LONDON, Thursday. Scoring 63 in the first round of the ''News Chronicle” £IOOO tournament at East Brighton, S. L. King established a British record for a major golf event. Another record was established by •thirty players breaking 70 in a riot of phenomenal scoring. These included B. Gadd and Max Faulkner, 64’s; and R. Whitcombe, 65. At St. Moritz in winning the Swiss open on the Samaden links with an aggregate of 136, Marcel Dallemagne had included in his total a record round of 67, four under par. At Cape Town, jjlaying in a Goodwood Club match, S. Brown claims to have equalled the world record by doing the first nine holes of a full-length course in 27, seven under bogey. TINUI CLUB.
