' INCREASE ON RAILWAYS. - RUGBY, Monday. Raihvay traffic figures published today shoAV that passenger journeys made on British raibvays during the first six months of the year, but excluding season ticket-holders, increased, compared with the corresponding period of last year, by 18,469,678, or 3.1 per cent. For freight the figures relate to the 28 weeks ended 11th July, and shoAV an increase, compared Avith the corresponding period of 1935, of 6,138,509 tons, or 4.2 per cent. —British Wireless.
