A SOCIAL EVENT
MASTERTON RACES.
The annual two days’ race meeting of the Masterton Racing Club, to be held at Opaki on Friday and Saturday of next week, is the outstanding social event of the year in the Wairarapa. Usually favoured with fine weather, it is an opportunity for ladies to wear new Spring fashions in an ideal setting. This the Opaki course undoubtedly is, situated in a sheltered ' position, with good appointments and : attractive lawns. The races also provide- a stfrable opportunity for people to one another. The nominations, were published yesterday, indicate' that, with good fields,, the Maste;*®jpClub is assured of a successful meeting.
