AUSTRALIA AND JAPAN DEADLOCK DENIED. Press Association Electric Telegraph —Copyright CANBERRA, Wednesday. Sir Henry Gullett, Minister in Charge of Trade Treaties, denied a report that the new treaty negotiations with Japan have reached a deadlock. He added that many proposals and counter-proposals would probably be made before an agreement with Japan was reached.
There was no possibility of Australia bartering wool for Japanese rayons and cotton goods, and Japan so far had not sought to do so.
