GIRL PAT CASE

BROTHERS ON TRIAL. LONDON, Friday. At the opening of the Girl Pat case against the Orsborne brothers evidence was given on behalf of the owners that Captain Orsborne was instructed to fish in the North Sea. The case was adjourned. The Crown Prosecutor, Mr E. C. Fulton, announced that James Orsborne had nothing to do with the ship or the crew and was actually a stowawaj. The trawler Girl Pat, under the command of Captain Orsborne, and carrying a crew of four, disappeared last May. Lloyd’s agents throughout the world were requested to keep a watch for her, and she was traced to Corcubion, Spain, and Dakar, West Africa, before ultimately being captured toward the end of June at Georgetown, British Guiana.
