Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 38 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 ami. to-day. SOLWAY RAINFALL. Mr 11. M. Boddington reports that rain Avas measured' on 15 days in August, the maximum fall being 125 points on the 30tli, and the minimum 2 points on the 29tli. The total for the month Avas 3.06 inches as compared Avitli 4.25 (1935), 4.41 (1934), I.BS (1933), 5.52 (1932), 2.26 (1931), average for 33 years .3.63 inches. The total rainfall for eight months Avas 32.73 inches as against 28.95 (1935), 27.49 (1934), 24.18 (1933), 22.73 (1932), 23.22 (1931); the average for 33 years Avas 26.98 inches. TO-DAY’S FORECAST.
