OBITUARY

ME A. HENSON. The death occurred, at the Masterton Public Hospital last night of Mr Alfred Henson, First Street, Lansdowne. , The deceased, who was born in Lincolnshire, England, 58 years ago, came to New Zealand 36 years ago. He had lived in the Wairarapa practically the whole of that time, and for the past 12 years he had resided in and around Masterton. He was for ten years in the employ of Mr Stan. Matthews, farmer, of Masterton.

The late Mr Henson was a keen football enthusiast, and he was also a member of the Oddfellows’ Lodge. He was of a quiet disposition, but was very popular amongst a wide circle of friends, who will regret to learn of his death.

Deecased is survived by a widow, two sons—Messrs R. W. and A. F. (Fred) Henson, of Masterton—and two daughters —Mrs A. Ewington and Miss Y. Henson, also of Masterton—who will have the sympathy, of a wide circle of friends in their sad bereavement. Messrs Frank Henson (Masterton) and Will Henson (Kaiparoro) are brothers of deceased, and Mrs G. Morris, Masterton, is a sister, and there are three grand-children. A brother, Mr J. Henson, and a sister, Mrs G. Richmond, predeceased him.

The funeral will leave the residence, 6 First Street, Lansdowne, at 3 p.m. tomorrow, for the Masterton Cemetery.
