PRIMARY SCHOOL TOURNEY. The primary schools’ annual knockout basketball tournament was played on tlie®pntral School grounds on Saturday m beautiful weather. In the A grade final match at time the teams were equal, the score being 9 all. After several exciting incidents St. Bride’s scored the final goal and won 10/9. The results were as follow: — A grade: Central beat West, 7/3; St. Patrick’s beat Lansdowne, 11/2; St. Bride’s beat Greytown, 9/2; St. Patrick’s beat Central, 4/2. Pinal, St. Bride’s beat St. Patrick’s, 10/9. B grade: First round: Te Ore Ore
beat Fernridge, 12/6; Central beat Carterton Convent, 8/4; Whatman beat Sohvay, 11/3; Lansdowne beat West, 4/3. Second round: To Ore Ore beat Whatman, 5/4; Central beat Lansdowne, 11/3. Final, Te Ore Ore beat Central, 10/5. C grade: First round: Central (No. 2) beat Lansdowne, 4/0; St. Patrick’s (No. 1) beat St. Patrick’s (No. 2), 11/1; Central I beat St. Bride’s, 6/5; West beat Opaki-Kopuaranga, 8/5. Second round: Central I beat Central 11, 7/2; St. Patrick’s I beat West, 9/3. Final: Central I beat St. Patrick’s I, 7/6. ';
