TO-MORROW’S RUGBY

AUCKLAND v. WAIRARAPA.

MATCH AT MEMORIAL PARK.

What should be one of the best Rugby matches of the season will be played at Memorial Park to-morrow afternoon, when the Wairarapa representatives will try conclusions with the touring Auckland team. The tourists have been playing brilliant football in the South Island, and their backs may be relied upon to give a sparkling display. Hadley, regarded as the finest front row forward in the Dominion, will be seen in -action, as also will Pepper, the brilliant 1935 All Black forward. Bush, one of the most versatile players in the country, will occupy the fullback position, while Dick, the new North, Island winger, will be one of the flanks. ’ . . ,

In its last, two or three representative fixtures, Wairarapa has experienced difficulty in fielding a full strength side, but the team that will take the field to-morow is the best available, and should be strong enough to extend the visitors, Play will commence at 2.30 p.m., and a curtain-raiser will be provided by the Wairarapa and Bush third grade representatives. At the interval there will be a midgets ’ seven-a-side game.

As Denbee is not available for Wairarapa against Auckland to-morrow, his place will be taken, by P. Clarke (Red Star).

The visitors arrived in Masterton.this

morning. They have selected Mr 11. J. McKenzie as referee for to-morrow’s match.
