JAPANESE WOOL POOL

TO ELIMINATE COMPETITION. TOKIO, Friday. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry convened a conference of wool industrialists and importers and told them that it is necessary in tlioir own and in the national interests to form a pool or a similar organisation to eliminate bidding against themselves, and so buy as cheaply as possible in world markets, including Australia, if and when it was advisable to re-enter auctions in that country.

It is reported that importers asked the Government to establish an organisation to control imports from Australia, South Africa and South America. However, textile manufacturers objected in regard to South Africa and South America.
