CHRISTCHURCH HUNT RACES. MEETING ABANDONED. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Owing to the heavy fall of snow, the Christchurch Hunt races, which were to have been held to-day, have been abandoned. —(P.A.) Royal Lineage, who was an elder full brother to Golden Gate and Royal Liinond, had a remarkably consistent record over hurdles. .

For the first time for many years, Auckland stables will not be represented in the Grand National Steeplechase, a race in which they have been successful on many occasions.

Punchestown is a douMful case. He is in easy work again, but his progress during tlie week, and lack of hard work, makesJiim a doubtful prospect for the National, while the likelihood of a soft track is also against him.
