THE KING’S HOLIDAY

YACHTING CRUISE THE NAHLIN PREPARATIONS. Presa Association Slectric TeWmph—Corpriglir LONDON, Friday. His Majesty the King, who lias chartered Lady Yule’s yacht Nahlin for a cruise along the Dalmatian coast, extending over thrGe or four weeks, is' already familiar with the vessel,, on which last year he made a. short cruise while visiting the Channel Islands. His Majesty was then impressed with the yacht’s comfort, although it is not, equipped with a swimming bath, which was overcome by a canvas bath erected to-day on deck. The Nalilin is now very busy filling up with stores and fuel. She has a capacity of 400 tons of oil, sufficient for a range of 5000 miles. Captain Doyle, the master of the Nahlin, visited the King at St. James’ Palace and discussed the final arrangements.

The King is not appointing a Council of State, and accordingly documents requiring the Royal signature will be sent to the Nahlin by King’s messengers, but such documents are fewer when Parliament is not sitting. The accompanying destroyers will be in radio communication with the Admiralty. The Nahlin’s wireless will also maintain touch with London.

The crew totals 51, and all are Scots except the captain.
