LADIES’ HOCKEY
FIJI v. WAIRARAPA. The hockey match, Fiji v. Wairarapa, which is to be played at the Memorial Park on Wednesday next, sth August, should prove a very interesting game. The Fijian players have become more used to the playing conditions in New Zealand, and their play has likewise improved, and a fast game may be expected. The game is timed to start at 3 p.m. As a curtain-raiser, the B reps, will play the Maoris, and this game will start at 1.30 p.m.
