WATERLOO CUP. MEETING AT CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. The first round of the Waterloo Cup, the blue riband of coursing in New Zealand, brought a surprise when last year’s winner, Father Emerson, was beaten by Purple King. The following are the second round results:—Happy Nancy beat Oratress, Diana beat Snow Queen, Orator beat Great Tornado, Away beat Purple King, Vanity Fair beat Lead On, Even Laddie a bye. —(P.A.)
