The secretary reported that he had written to the Tararua Tramping Club relative to a proposal to dismantle portion of the Mount Holdsworth Hut and to re-erect same Apir the snow line. In reply, the that the matter had been held over pending the election of a new committee at the an-

nual meeting. Mr G. B. AVilson, AA 7 ellington, wrote suggesting the name of Sentinel Hut for the new hut at the snow line. The Mount Holdsworth Road was reported to be in a bad state of repair. It was decided to write to the South AVairarapa County Council asking if repairs could-be carried out, as traffic to the mountain was increasing. It-was also decided to write- to the Wairarapa Automobile Association regarding the' condition of the road.

There was some discussion on - the question of repairs to the mountain house, the chimney of which had been destroyed. It was decided to defer action for the present. The secretary reported a credit balance of £l/5/7. V
